Wine & Vinyl Ft. Slipped Discs - Talking Heads - Tuesday 3rd June, 6:30pm

Slipped Discs and Chanctonbury Wines have been making “tentative decisions” over their next wine and vinyl theme. After much rumination, they settled on a topic decision. “You may ask yourself…”, “who is it”? Well, this “once in a lifetime” wine and vinyl theme is ‘Talking Heads’.

Why “Talking Heads”?

Why a wine tasting? Why listen?

Why do the wines come out gradually?

What will Rob do next?

Where do James’s odd movements come from?

Are German beers better or worse than records?

Why no “special effects” in the wine bar?

Why a big suit?

Why is an analogue system used for the sound?

Many of these questions may be answered on the evening. What is for certain: 6 tracks from Talking Heads’ back catalogue will be curated by resident DJ James, and 6 wines will be expertly matched by (burning down the) house MC, Rob.

Hosted at Chanctonbury Wines… “this must be the place”!

What is Wine & Vinyl? It's a relatively relaxed wine and listening session. Wines paired to the artist or theme, chat about the wines and the records, rare vintage vinyl and a generally joyous collaborative atmosphere. Seating is communal across the bar and shared tables. 

Tickets are £30 and get you a good time, a good bit of wine and a nibble or two. Tuesday 3rd June, 6:30pm @ Chanctonbury Wines.
